What is Aadhar seeding?

Aadhar seeding is a process by which aadhar numbers are included in the service provider's database. It enables the service provider to do aadhar card authentication during service delivery. It also enables them clean up their database for any ghost entries and/or duplicate entries.

Required App - TNEPDS ( App to link ration card with aadhar card in Tamil Nadu).

To install TNEPDS, you have to visit Google play store. You need to have an android device with version 4.0 or more. 

Using this app, you can not only link aadhar number with ration card, but also you can see the transactions made in a particular time period like how many kgs rice you have purchased from ration card, what is your entitled quantity etc.

The phone number registered in the ration card must be entered in the app and SMS will be received in the registered phone number correspondingly. The number given in the SMS should be registered for the installed app to be opened.

Then the Aadhar card should be QR scanned in order to register it to the ration card and for doing so touch the place where Aadhar card number needs to be registered then QR scanner camera would get activated automatically.

Then by using the mobile, camera show the Aadhar card wherein QR code will be scanned and the corresponding Aadhar number will be displayed in the screen.

Once after this when submit button is pressed the corresponding Aadhar number will be registered in the Ration Card.

Link Aadhar card with ration card online in other states:

The linking procedure is executed slowly in India, the mainly it's executed only in certain states. By choosing the state and other location information, you can find out whether you can apply via online.

Enter the mobile number you will receive the OTP & submit the button.



Please select the state & district from the address location.
After filling the details you have to select the beneficiary option like LPG subsidiary, Pension or ration option. Here you have to choose ration option.

Enter your ration card/consumer details & aadhaar card details in the form.

In that select the ration card option from the menu & provided the details like ration card number & aadhaar card number.

After filling the details go and fill the personal data.

After providing details you have to enter the e-mail id & mobile number we will receive the OPT.

After entering the OTP just upload the option like aadhaar card, ration submits button.

After this the request number will be sent to you,the corresponding officers relating to your region will contact you.



Offline Linking of Aadhar Card:


People can link their Aadhar card with ration card offline if an online portal is not available in your state or if the user wishes to register the Aadhar card with Ration card offline. 

If the ration card holders show this Aadhar card to ration shop staff, corresponding ration card details will also be registered.

Following steps need to be followed to register Aadhar card with Ration card offline.

You have to go to the ration card shop that is assigned to you where you get ration items. If you have not yet registered your ration card in that shop, register first.

You have to take the original documents of the following. It is better to take photo copies too. But I was not asked to produce copies.

                                1. All the family members Aadhar cards need to be taken to link all aadhar numbers to the ration card
                                2. Ration card of the family
                                

Then go to the nearest Ration office and submit all the above mentioned documents to the Ration office staff.

If you have not linked your bank account and if you wish to do so please carry the bank passbook with the above mentioned list and submit the same in the Ration office.

These documents will be validated and once these documents are validated/received by the relevant authorities the same will be communicated to you on the status via SMS and Email.

If the Aadhar card is shown to the ration office staff the details such as number of members in the family, number of cylinders, phone number, address, age details etc. will be registered.

Then the Aadhar card will be linked to your ration card offline once all the details mentioned above are verified.
